A Visit To Our CEO's Home: Learning About the Casamona Story

Hi! My name is Annemarie and I recently started as a Marketing Intern in Casamona! In this blog, I will tell you about my experience visiting our CEO's home to learn about the Casamona story from the founder herself.

It is a tradition that all new interns learn about the Casamona story through a presentation given by Tine, our CEO. As a new intern myself, I experienced this in the 4th week of my internship. It was a very interesting and fun experience, which helped me grow a stronger bond with the other new interns and the rest of the Casamona family.

So, one morning all the new interns and I, made our way to Tine's apartment, where she welcomed us with a cup of tea and an amazing view, which we all happily enjoyed! The reason for doing the presentation here was because her apartment is the perfect representation of the apartments Casamona looks to offer our clients, Scandinavian style and cozy spaces. So now, we have the perfect example to take as a guide when we are on our search for new flats.


Getting into the presentation, Tine explained to us how everything started. How Annette and her came up with the idea, back in 2004, due to the difficulty they had to find good apartments that adapted to their taste and needs. Specifically apartments with features such as big windows, spaces with natural light, a cozy atmosphere, and a good location.

This motivated them to create a real estate company different from everything that had ever existed in Barcelona. Tine also explained how having international interns has been a key element all these years. Having young, creative people from different cultures and speaking multiple languages has helped Casamona attract clients from all over the world and has given the company the ability to provide the best service.

The dedication that all workers, including interns, have had through the years is very inspiring, and still, despite bad circumstances such as the pandemic, the company has been able to maintain a loyal community helping it navigate through those hardships. This just shows how much Casamona values good connections in and outside of the company.

It is very inspirational to learn how Casamona was built from the ground up. Hearing the story from Tine herself, gave all of us a better picture of how the company works, what she wants to achieve for the future, and how we, as interns, can contribute keeping Casamona as the leading real estate company in the city.

Today, Casamona is still a success despite the competitiveness of the real estate industry in Barcelona. And, I think I can speak for all interns when I say that it is a great opportunity to be part of the Casamona family. This experience just highlighted how much positive influence we as interns can have on keeping the success of the company!

Everyone knows the stereotypes of being an intern. You only get awful tasks, no freedom, and you always have to get coffee for the whole team. Being an intern at Casamona could not be any more different than this! Here at Casamona we value our interns and believe that every individual that works with us, has something to bring to the table.
