Marketing Interns Dive into Interior Design at Casamona International

Image
Hi there! We are Tanne and Juliana, and we are currently doing a marketing internship at Casamona in Barcelona! When working in marketing, you work a lot with how things look and feel. In the real estate sector, this couldn't be more the case. A property must look presentable before we take pictures and post them on our socials and website. This can sometimes be a difficult task because maybe the furniture or styling of the property are outdated or non-existent. In these cases, we have to get creative and use upstaging techniques to make the space more appealing. It's all about showcasing the potential of the property to attract potential buyers or renters. Now at Casamona, we are starting more renovation projects; outdated properties are being renovated and upstaged to be sold or rented out. This means that Casamona employees are a part of the interior design of the apartment. We help with the project to make sure it becomes a beautiful property ready for the next tenants. By ...

3 interns from 3 different countries and how they found their way to Casamona

YANG Hola!, my name is Yang, I’ve been living in Barcelona for the past four years and came here to study Marketing. I settled down in Barcelona before the quarantine was introduced and made us stay at home for months, therefore I had little chance to go out and explore the city.   First, I started at ESCI-UPF, studying Marketing and International Business. But, considering that I just moved out by myself and had such a boost of freedom, I spent most of my time playing a lot of video games.   The act of getting involved with video games during my first year of university made me unable to keep up with my studies. Which, in some way, forced me to change universities and pursue a new opportunity elsewhere.   Now I´m studying Marketing at a private school at the University of Girona. Also, I am learning from the mistakes I made during my first year in Barcelona. After that, I decided to change my attitude and focus on making my studies a priority.   Although it’s...

Pizza parties, dance classes, and more! Casamona is not just about learning

Everyone knows the stereotypes of being an intern. You only get awful tasks, no freedom, and you always have to get coffee for the whole team. Being an intern at Casamona could not be any more different than this! Here at Casamona we value our interns and believe that every individual that works with us, has something to bring to the table. Our interns come from all over the world to put their knowledge into practice a nd to learn from the experience of working in a professional setting. We pride ourselves as a company that helps develop the skills of students, but we also like fun! We regularly organize fun activities after work. Sometimes this takes place in the office, and other times we go out to do something. Only last week, Tine organized a goodbye party for one of our amazing interns that had her last day at the company. We ordered pizza and Tine made sure that we had some cooled bottles of wine ready. But before we started on this, our colleague who was leaving taught us a shor...

A day in the life of a Rental Agent!

If you are considering an internship in Barcelona this is the perfect place to start. Learn all about life as a rental agent in an international real estate company! 10.00 am  The day of a Rental Agent starts at 10am, we arrive in the office and say hi to the team. The day starts with the team morning meeting, this gives us all the chance to check in and update each other on the tasks we will be focusing on today. We use the meeting to outline our goals for the day, and on Monday, we present the weekly presentation to update on what we achieved in the previous week and any team news.  11.00 am  In the morning I tend to get back to clients and owners, we try and be quick in replying to ensure we’re always providing a good service. I also spend some time flat finding where we call rental owners to convince them to work with us – this is a great chance to practice your Spanish professionally. The team often works together on this to motivate each other and share tips. If we’...
